Abstract:The ancestral hall of Cao Family is a protected relic in Guangdong Province. It mainly reflects the forms, structures, materials, characters, process and technical skills of ancestral halls of late Ming Dynasty in Linnan area. It serves as a new example in researches on many aspects such as the development and evolution of ancient ancestral halls in Linnan area, how did traditional geomantic omen doctrine affect folk architectures, as well as the history of family migrations.
