i agree, it breaks my heart to see traditional script being replaced by simplified. it's such a beautiful language, unfortunately there are only two places left in china which use it: hong kong, and taiwan (i'm speaking in a geographical sense, not trying to debate about the island's independence). of course, most chinese communities overseas, particularly cantonese communities still use mostly traditional, but the recent influx of mainlanders might bring an end to that.
