《撥亂反正》之三十四：會 VS 識

　　「我會說英文」。<BR>　　究竟係話我準備用英文嚟講嘢，抑或我叻到可以用英文嚟講嘢呢？<BR>&nbsp;　　再睇個例子：<BR>&nbsp;　　「我會游水，但我會踢球」。<BR>&nbsp;　　如果冇上下文，真係睇到一頭霧水。呢句用粵語應該點講呢？<BR>　　「我識游水，但我會踢波」。——（雖然）我識得游水，但我揀踢波呢種運動。<BR>　　「識」、「會」分工明晰，前者係「know how to do something」，後者係「will do something」。如果話自己有能力用英文表達嘅，就講「我識講英文」，而如果話自己準備用英文講嘢嘅，就講「我會講英文」。<BR>　　不妨舉多個現成嘅例子：「我會做好呢份工」。英文係乜呢？I will get the job done！冇錯，做好呢份工係曾生嘅美好願望，但，有冇能力做好，就係另一回事喇。所以，佢嘅競選口號唔係「我識做好呢份工」（「I can get the job done」）！<BR>
