<p>As
I am in Hongkong, I also have to learn this language. To get started I
searched for some resources on this language, which has been described
as <em>very difficult</em>, and <em>easy</em> as well. Depends where You come from, I believe. Let’s go over some resources:</p>
<p><u>RTHK - naked Lunch: Cantonese learning podcast</u></p>
<p>RTHK, that’s for <a href="http://www.rthk.org.hk/" title="rthk" target="_blank">Radio Television Hong Kong</a>,
has a regular podcast to learn some Cantonese, unfortunately without a
transscribt. The teacher is a Norwegian, but her Cantonese is pretty
much perfect, as she stayed in Hongkong for a long time. Her lessons
are entertaining, funny and easy to follow. Lot’s of repetition make it
easier to stick things into Your brain.</p>

<p>Some guys made a great effort to put together a great Cantonese
learning resource. A page full of words, tests, quizzes and more. This
page is pretty complete, as a forum as well as a dictionary is already
included. Definitely worth a look if You are serious about learning
Cantonese.</p>

<p>At the well known site Chinesepod, they also have a <a href="http://cantonese.chinesepod.com/" target="_blank">Cantonese Forum</a>. Discussion is slow there due to the small amount of learners, but You might find some value in it.</p>

<p>A book that has been recommended once in a while by Cantonese
learners. I haven’t had a chance to grab one so far, but I want to do
that soon. The book is fairly old and the texts should be a little out
of date, the learning method presented is also not up to date, as I

<p>The US **, the <a href="http://fsi-language-courses.com/default.aspx" title="fsi" target="_blank">FSI</a>
to be exact (Foreign Service Institute), has created a nice Cantonese
course… on paper. However the books is made public domain by now. You
can download the pdf e-book, however the quality is pretty poor as it
is just plain scans of the original paper book.</p>

<p>Ms. Chenung wants people to learn some Cantonese, so she created a
private website to learn it. The material is pretty practical, although
there is not as much as in a full course.</p>

<p>Yet someone else is trying to teach You Cantonese. This one is
special. You can download the material for free. If You like it, You
are asked to pay a little money. A fair approach I think.</p>

<p>Beware there are at least two versions of this book, the older ones
got some very bad reviews. Make sure to get a new one of this, which
comes with a CD. With the new book You have quite a useful foundation
to Your Cantonese learning.</p>
<p><strong>Conclusion:</strong></p>
<p>This list of Cantonese learning is by no means complete, but it
should be enough material to get You started. Apart from that, I can
recommend You to come to Hongkong and find a girlfriend here who speaks
Cantonese. Your Cantonese will be on a functional level pretty quick.
Now You got the material, it’s time for some learning methods. For the

Scheme, or known as Jyutping, was designed and proposed by the Linguistic
Society of Hong Kong in 1993. Jyutping is a new Cantonese romanization

and solely based on alphanumeric characters without any diacritics

粵語拼音系統研討會中,徐雲揚建議本會成立專責小組,負責訂定一套粵語拼音方案。當時本會第四屆理事會考慮了上述建議,決定成立「粵語拼音方案工作組」,
任務包括:(一)向本會推薦一套粵語拼音方案;(二)編寫方案說明;(三)就如何推廣本方案作出建議;和(四)在第四屆粵方言研討會中推介本方案。</font></p>
<p><font face="新細明體" size="2">工
作小組包括(按粵拼序):徐雲揚、鄧思穎、范國、江影儀、孔碧儀、李行德、藺蓀、梁長城、陸鏡光、蘇周簡開、童哲生、張群顯(召集人)和鍾龍山。小組成員
的專業分佈頗廣,除了理論語言學外,還有社會語言學、應用語言學、英語教學、粵語教學、翻譯教學;而成員工作單位,院校方面包括兩大、兩理工、浸會;系屬
方面,則廣及英文、中文、人類學、語言治療等,可謂具有廣泛的代表性。</font></p>
<p><font face="新細明體" size="2">經過一年的反覆討論,本會制定的拼音方案在一九九三年底定案,定名為「香港語言學學會粵語拼音方案」,簡稱「粵拼」,並且在當年十二月舉行的第四屆國際粵方言研討會上正式向全國及海外的粵語專家、學者公佈。</font></p>
<p><font face="新細明體" size="2">香港語言學學會的目的是要制定一套簡單、合理、易學、易用的粵語語音轉寫方案,以統一現在粵語拼音使用上的混亂情況。我們要求字母的形式是國際上通用的拉丁字母,而代表聲調的符號則要求是

從粵拼正式公佈後,主要的任務就是向社會各界廣泛推廣粵拼。本會在一九九四年成立粵拼推廣小組,參加的成員包括(按粵拼序):鄧思穎(香港理工大學)、范
國(香港浸會大學)、李行德(香港中文大學)、藺蓀(召集人,香港城市大學)、陸鏡光(香港大學)、張群顯(香港理工大學)和童哲生(香港城市大學)。推
廣小組曾籌辦和策劃的活動項目計有:在互聯網上
設立「粵拼發燒友俱樂部」討論粵拼應用的問題、編訂及推廣《粵語拼音字表》、設計粵拼輸入法、對學界宣傳粵拼等。 </font>
<p><font face="新細明體" size="2">在本會第九屆理事會的建議和推動下,新的粵拼推廣小組在二零零二年六月十二日正式成立,任期到二零零三年年底。目
前成員包括(按粵拼序):鄧思穎(召集人,香港理工大學)、藺蓀(香港城市大學)、黃倩萍(香港理工大學)、張群顯(香港理工大學)和童哲生(香港城市大學)。對粵拼推廣有興趣的本會會員,歡迎隨時加入推廣小組!</font></p>

零零三年將會是粵拼公佈十週年,為迎接和慶祝這個特殊時刻的來臨,新的粵拼推廣小組希望在任期內,協助本會達成以下的目標:(一)再版《粵語拼音字表》;
(二)組織編訂粵語教科書;(三)統籌出版粵拼詞表;(四)為字典以粵拼注音;(五)舉辦多類型講座、工作坊介紹粵拼;(六)舉辦學術會議;(七)鼓勵粵
拼教學(拼音和輸入法);?]八)加強對外宣傳。推廣小組希望能夠在回顧粵拼過去十年發展的同時,積極宣傳和普及粵拼,讓更多的社會人士對粵拼有認識,把
粵拼提昇到一個更高的層次。</font></p>

<ul><li><font face="新細明體" size="2">方案在1993年公佈後,本會根據粵拼製作適用於中文電腦的「粵拼輸入法」。
</font></li><li><font face="新細明體" size="2">自從粵拼輸入法推出後,該輸入法曾為多個電腦軟件採用,作為中文系統的內置輸入碼,包括微軟中文視窗NT、南極星、蒙恬筆、全漢橋等。

點解「書」同「豬」嘅「於」音係「üe 」而唔係「ü」嘅?
其實我覺得,要推廣呢套拼音方案,最緊要嘅係要有一套好嘅輸入法。尤其係對於大陸地區,對於學生嚟講,返學階段無辦法用書寫拼音,皆因要寫「普通話拼音」。所以,唯有靠平時,而平時用拼音較多嘅時間,就一定係打字。我覺得,Jyutping流傳得比較廣,主要係有「輕鬆粵拼」呢個比較好用嘅輸入法。所以,打字軟件好重要。因為通過練習打字,可以好快熟悉一套拼音。 本帖最後由 promethusewei 於 2011-10-14 18:23 編輯
另外,再問一樣嘢先。
「瓜」係呢套拼音系統裡面標「gua」,咁係「gu」做聲母,「a」作韻母;定係「g」作聲母,「ua」作韻母呢?如果係前者嘅話,聲母「gu」裡面出現元音「u」會不會不太好,造成混淆。而如果係後者嘅話,拼音系統又多咗個韻母,我覺得一套拼音聲母如元音,要簡單基本,將讀音嘴形等變化放在聲母及韻腳比較妥當。所以,既然Penkyam兄覺得「W」「U」無原則性錯誤,可否考慮下不作此改動。「瓜」仍然為「gwa」。畢竟大家都識讀「twitter」,又何懼不會讀「gwa」呢?
我以「普通話」拼音作例,細細個畀小學老師教拼音嘅時候,教韻母嘅時候都講「啊」「哦」「鵝」「衣」「烏」「魚」。其中,「i」唔應該教讀「衣」,「i」就係「i」,冇「y」何來「衣」?同樣,「u」就係「u」,「goose」嘅「oo」,冇「w」何來「烏」。「u」本身冇「w」嘅口形,就最好唔好代替「w」嘅作用。就好似「掛」就係「gw」+「a」,而唔係好似普通話老師教細路仔讀「哥+烏+啊」=「掛」咁,因為無論係「哥+烏+啊 掛」定係「孤+啊 掛」都會有攙雜入「u」音嘅嫌疑。所以,大家會見到英文入邊「tw」就係「tw」,「twins」「twitter」而唔係「tuins」「tuitter」。

諗下諗下覺得重有個問題想討論下,關於「z」同「j」嘅。我覺得將「j」寫成「z」不但一尐都唔難睇,而且有相當嘅合理性。當然,我係從英文拼寫嘅角度去睇。先唔理大陸地區強制盛行嘅「漢語拼音」,因為我覺得入邊有部分聲母嘅發音有問題。講返「z」同「j」,「z」音標係「z」,而「j」音標係「dʒ」。所以,字如「就」、「照」、「曾」等用「zau」,「ziu」,「zang」嚟得畀「dʒau」,「dʒiu」,「dʒang」合理得多。何況我未覺粵語會發「dʒ」。以前我學所謂「漢語拼音」,未接觸粵語拼音或其他拼音之前,就好自然咁先入為主應為「j」發「z」音冇問題。但係好來接觸都其他拼音嘅時候我先發覺其中存有不妥之處。當然,我唔知都其他歐洲語言入邊「j」會唔會發「z」音。不過我自己覺得以英音標為基礎更容易接受。唔知道Penkyam兄應為如何? 经典 广东话拼音 例文:
